Privacy policy

The short version

svgize converts images to SVG inside your browser. The image you drop on the page is read by a program running on your own computer, and the SVG is produced there. Nothing you convert is sent to us or to anyone else.

Your images

Files you open in svgize never leave your device. There is no upload, no server-side processing and no copy kept anywhere. Once the page has loaded, the converter keeps working with the network switched off.

Because we never receive your files, we cannot see, store, recover or delete them: there is nothing on our side to delete.

What the website stores in your browser

A language preference (a cookie named svgize-lang), set only when you pick a language in the switcher, valid for one year.

A theme preference (light or dark) in your browser's local storage, set only when you pick one.

The engine and page files themselves, cached by your browser like any website so the next visit is faster.

None of these identify you and none are shared with third parties. You can clear them at any time from your browser settings.

What our hosting sees

The site is served from a content delivery network. Like every web server, it processes the technical data needed to deliver a page (your IP address, browser type, the address requested, the time) and may keep short-lived access logs for security and reliability. This data is not combined with anything, is not used to profile you and is not sold.

Analytics and advertising

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, the measurement built into our hosting. They count page views, referrers, country, device type and page speed in aggregate. They set no cookies, use no fingerprinting, do not follow you to other sites, and the request they send contains no personal identifier; the visitor hash Vercel uses to tell visits apart is derived from the request and discarded within a day.

There are no advertising trackers, no social-media pixels and no third-party analytics. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.

Accounts and payments

There are no accounts, no sign-up and no payment on this site. We do not collect names, e-mail addresses or payment details.

E-mail

If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up. We do not add you to any list.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA, the UK or another jurisdiction with data-protection rights, you can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its processing. In practice we hold nothing about visitors beyond the hosting logs described above, but you can always ask.

Changes

This page changes when the site changes. The date at the top is the date of the last revision.
